Regarding the scalping, mandr bought a ton of those battlepacks specifically to build his army. Battle packs are army builders. They are meant to be bought in bulk. Also, at least where I live, the 501st battle pack was never hard to find. I easily bought two copies from LEGO the day it came out, and I always saw tons at Walmart and other stores
