He stood in Kentucky at Calumet Farm, Spendthrift Farm, and Jonabell Farm. He was humanely destroyed due to laminitis in 2001. Pedigree notes Affirmed is inbred 5x5 to Teddy.

His time of 1:45.28 for 1 1/16 miles was the not the fastest of the day, but it resulted in a 90 Beyer Speed Figure from Daily Racing Form. Swift Delivery is a Kentucky-bred.
