There are a couple reviews from 1928 quoted on the Wikipedia page that both recommended the short was worth a watch if your home was wired for sound. I found several descriptions of home viewing systems in that time period and from what I understand it was 8mm or 16mm film on expensive projectors so mostly only used by the wealthy.
