That victory pushes Minooka (31-3-1) into Friday night’s sectional final, where it will face Belleville East, which defeated Edwardsville 7-1 in the other semifinal.

Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Belleville East Lancers an 11-0 shutout on Friday. Considering Minooka has won 19 matches by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
