A Letter to Three Wives has always (I was a weird kid) been one of my favorite movies. Released to critical acclaim in 1949, this movie won the Academy Awards for both Director and Adapted Screenplay for Joseph L Mankiewicz, who would win the same two awards a year later for 1950’s All About Eve.
