Chrissie Hynde's voice is unmistakable, as is the Pretenders effect on the world of music. Chrissie is also the band's only consistent member. They were inducted into the rock and roll hall of fame in 2005. Hynde was originally from Akron, Ohio.

That is, he played the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts, which sits on the site of the original 1969 Woodstock festival (which, despite the name, did not actually take place in Woodstock, NY).
