Some scholars identify Mary Magdalene with the sinful woman who anointed the feet of Christ with oil in the house of Simon the Pharisee (Lk. 7:36-50).
Hace 5 días · On May 24, 2012, St. Mary Magdalene’s relic was solemnly transferred from the basilica’s museum to a niche on the left side of the church nave. Cardinal Carlo Caffarra, the basilica’s titular cardinal before his death in 2017, led the enthronement of the relic in its new place of veneration.

Although some information is not exactly new, I was able to find inspiration and new works of art for the corpus of my dissertation, especially when it comes to contemporary art dealing with the Magdalene.
