Her late-night macabre television show was steeped in sex and death, with her arched eyebrows, black hair, thin waist, and primal sensual scream, which she addresses with the line, “Screaming relaxes me so.”
Hace 4 días · Finally — at least for Hollywood Forever — the most interesting grave marker I found was that of Maila Nurmi (1922-2008), chiefly because she wasn't a ghoul, she merely played one on TV. The famous Vampira's stone has a terrific etched image of her character and, by way of explanation, simply: "Hollywood Legend."

The daughter of a Finnish immigrant, Nurmi was raised in Oregon and relocated to Los Angeles in 1940 with hopes of being an actress.
