Anthony LaMarca is a drummer, guitarist, singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and co-founder of Primary Records. He is currently a member of The War on Drugs, joining the band on its tour in support of its third studio album, Lost in the Dream (2014), and contributing to their follow-up, A Deeper Understanding (2017).
In the midst of completing The Building’s first album, Lamarca – who splits his time between his solo projects and his gig as guitarist in The War On Drugs – felt a pain in his back and went to the doctor. The pain turned out to be a symptom of multiple myeloma, a form of blood cancer.

9 de ene. de 2020 · After touring the world with indie-rock darlings St. Vincent and The War on Drugs, local artist Anthony LaMarca returned home to record and release his own deeply personal new album. His Youngstown-based band, The Building, released “PETRA” in October 2019.
