Other Voices is the fourth studio album by English singer Paul Young. Released in June 1990, the album peaked at No. 4 on the UK Albums Chart and has been certified gold by the British Phonographic Industry for UK sales in excess of 100,000 copies.
Though primarily a guitarist, keyboard player and vocalist, prominent for his distinctive soulful high tenor voice, Winwood plays other instruments proficiently, including drums, mandolin, bass and saxophone.
Young had reverted back to embracing cover versions and a highlight on Other Voices is a superb take on Bobby Womack’s Stop On By, with Chaka Khan joining Young on vocals and a Steve Winwood playing some great Hammond.

3 de oct. de 2017 · As it transpired, Winwood elected to form Traffic with three long‑time friends from the Midlands R&B scene – Jim Capaldi, Dave Mason and Chris Wood. The four-piece shifted around various bases in London before finally taking up residence in a remote cottage in Aston Tirrold, deep in rural Berkshire.

12 de may. de 2022 · Aside from writing the music, Winwood sang the powerful vocals and laid down the bass and rhythm guitar and Hammond organ parts, something Schubert and Shostakovich could certainly never have pulled off! Traffic was one of the pivotal progressive rock bands of that golden era.
