19 de jul. de 2022 · Alan Lovell DL is the new Chair of the Environment Agency, confirmed by Environment Secretary George Eustice on 19 July 2022. He brings a wide range of experience from business and public service, and will join the organisation on 26 September 2022.
Alan Lovell is the son of a farmer and a former finance director and CEO of several companies. He is the current Chair of the Environment Agency, a government organisation that regulates environmental protection and natural resources in England.
28 de jun. de 2022 · Alan Lovell DL is the Government’s preferred candidate to succeed Emma Howard Boyd as the Chair of the Environment Agency. He will face a pre-appointment hearing by the EFRA and EAC Select Committees before his appointment in September 2022.
19 de jul. de 2022 · Lovell’s appointment was confirmed this afternoon (19 July), after he was first confirmed to be the preferred candidate for the role in late July. He will be replacing Howard-Boyd after her six-year tenure as chair. In total, Howard-Boyd has served some 12 years on the EA’s board.
