  6. Hoping for bigger sales, the label paired Thompson with American producer Mitchell Froom for 1986's Daring Adventures. Once again, the album fared well with critics but sales were lukewarm, and Polydor dropped him from their roster.

  7. For this, his fifth album for Capitol Records, Thompson teamed up with producers Tom Rothrock and Rob Schnapf, and Mock Tudor had a more straightforward production than his preceding albums on Capitol which had been produced by Mitchell Froom.
