The Scaffold was a Liverpool-based trio of musical performer Mike McGear (real name Peter Michael McCartney, the brother of Paul McCartney), poet Roger McGough and comic entertainer John Gorman. They had several hit singles, such as "Thank U Very Much" and "Lily the Pink", and composed the theme tune to The Liver Birds.
