Daniel Roland Lanois ( Hull, 19 de septiembre de 1951) es un productor y músico canadiense. Ha producido discos para un gran número de artistas y ha compuesto unos cuantos propios. Ha trabajado con Bob Dylan, U2, Peter Gabriel, Robbie Robertson, Ron Sexsmith y Brian Eno, entre otros.
He collaborated with Brian Eno to produce several albums for U2, including The Joshua Tree (1987) and Achtung Baby (1991). Three albums produced or co-produced by Lanois have won the Grammy Award for Album of the Year. Four other albums received Grammy nominations. Lanois has released several solo albums.
Released in September 1989, “Acadie” is the album Lanois wrote and performed and produced in New Orleans at his own studio. Adam Clayton and Larry Mullen perform on two tracks on this album, “Still Water” and “Jolie Louise”. 3 de may. de 2010 · Of course, "now" is misleading—he's recorded with Brian Eno, and masterfully produced albums by U2 ( The Unforgettable Fire, Joshua Tree ), the Neville Brothers ( Yellow Moon ), and Bob Dylan ( Oh Mercy ). Those studio streets were obviously two-way: Acadie bears healing scars of influence from each collaboration.
