Jeffrey Lee Pierce (June 27, 1958 – March 31, 1996) was an American singer, songwriter, guitarist, and author. He was one of the founding members of the band The Gun Club, and released material as a solo artist.

Pierce records a one-off album for a stripped-down blues side project, Ramblin’ Jeffrey Lee with Cypress Grove and Willie Love. Kid Congo Powers leaves the Gun Club. He is replaced briefly by German Rainer Lingk (of Die Haut); Lingk is then replaced by Robert Marche.
Created and led by singer-songwriter and guitarist Jeffrey Lee Pierce, they were notable as one of the first bands in the punk rock subculture to incorporate influences from blues, rockabilly, and country music.
