Op 13 mei 2003 overleed gitarist, saxofonist en mede-oprichter Huib van Kampen op 59-jarige leeftijd. Op 26 oktober 2005 overleed in zijn woonplaats IJmuiden bassist Cor Dekker op 57-jarige leeftijd aan de gevolgen van blaaskanker.
Ekseption was a Dutch rock band active from 1967 to 1989, playing mostly-instrumental progressive rock and classical rock. [1] The central character in the changing roster, and the only band member present on every album, was conservatory-trained trumpeter Rein van den Broek (10 September 1945 - 11 May 2015).
Members were Hans Alta (bass), Rein van den Broek (trumpet), Tim Griek (drums, he was the producer for the first Brainbox (3) album, he died in a car crash in 1988) and Huib van Kampen (guitar/saxophone). They played covers of well known songs. In 1965 the name was changed to Incrowd.
Rick's shining organ underlays the horns as they continue this first section (Rob Kruisman on sax, Rein van den Broek on trumpet, likely guitarist Huib van Kampen on tenor), and by the first minute, with the sample totally overshadowed, the favor switches to Rick's acoustic piano.

Ekseption fue un grupo holandés de música rock activo entre 1967 y 1989 que destacó por sus adaptaciones a rock progresivo de música clásica. El peso del grupo ha recaído en el único miembro que ha estado presente en todos los álbumes tras distintos cambios de miembros y colaboradores, el trompetista Rein van den Broek.
