Welcome to the website of the Faculty of Law of Charles University in Prague. In this section you can find all the necessary basic information about our academic institution. Master´s programme of study - taught exclusively in the Czech language.
The Faculty of Law was founded in 1348 and is therefore one of the four original faculties of Charles University. In 1372-1419 the Faculty of Law established itself an independent university of jurists but ceased to operate after the Hussite Wars, although law was sometimes the subject of lectures in the Faculty of Arts and Philosophy.
Every faculty offers a variety of courses and seminars in English, German, French and other foreign languages. Most of the faculties present the lists of courses on their websites - as listed below. The offer usually remains very similar each year.
