Madelon Vriesendorp (born 1945 in Bilthoven) is a Dutch artist, painter, sculptor and art collector. She was married to Rem Koolhaas and best known as one of the co-founders of the Office of Metropolitan Architecture (OMA) in the early 1970s (together with Rem Koolhaas and Elia Zenghelis and Zoe Zenghelis ).
A close collaborator to Charles, Madelon lent visual expression to many of his theories ranging from the ‘enigmatic signifiers’ of Post-Modern architecture to landforms of his later landscape design.
Madelon Vriesendorp is a member of the group OMA, founded by Rem Koolhaas, and has worked on projects such as Exodus, or the Voluntary Prisoners of Architecture. She is also a professor at the Berlage Institute and has exhibited at MoMA several times.
