Rendezvous is the fourth and final studio album by English folk rock singer-songwriter Sandy Denny, released on Island Records in May 1977, and the final album released during her lifetime.
Fotheringay 2 is the second album by the group formed by Sandy Denny after she left Fairport Convention in 1969. The band was short-lived, and broke up in 1971 after only a small number of tracks for this album had been completed, some of which then subsequently appeared on other compilations.

But Denny’s balladry is still sumptuous – ‘I’m A Dreamer’ is gorgeous. Even the over-stuffed arrangement works in its favour – the moment where Kay Garner & Clare Torry echo Denny’s final line (“The truth is I don’t think she’ll ever go”) is magical, coupled with Jerry Donahue’s soloing.
Sandy and Trevor left Fairport Convention at the end of 1975 and she embarked on what was to become her final album Rendezvous. The record shows her continuing to widen and deepen her song writing craft, and responsive to new influences.
