In April 2014, Moscow State Agroengineering University after V.P. Goryachkin (GMSAU) and Moscow State University of Environmental Engineering (MSUEE) were unionized with RSAU – MTAA. The academic staff of the University is about 3,000 people, and there are over 15,000 students.

The article highlights the key features of the formation of agro-engineering education, which consists in the use of local resources (primarily human and material) and of the technical base of industrial enterprises and advanced Sovkhoz state farms.
