Since 1922, CSM has been a gateway to higher education leading to university transfer, career preparation and advancement, and professional and personal development. The College currently serves approximately 13,000 day, evening and weekend students annually.
College of San Mateo offers two types of certificates: Certificate of Achievement (16 units or more) Certificate of Specialization (Fewer than 16 units, not state approved) Units earned to meet certificate requirements may be applied toward the 60 units required for an AA or AS degree.
College of San Mateo is located at the northern corridor of Silicon Valley and situated on a 153-acre site in the San Mateo hills. The college currently serves approximately 10,000 day, evening and weekend students.
