Mitchell Froom (born June 29, 1953) is an American musician and record producer. He was a member of the bands Gamma and Latin Playboys, and is currently the keyboardist for Crowded House.

It's not only Froom and Blake's approach to mixing that makes their work sound distinctive. Froom stresses that it's primarily the arrangements that determine whether a track sounds large or not. So his radical approach starts at the pre‑production stage, as exemplified in the ghetto‑blaster method, and the recording stage.
Vonda is now back to writing, and has several songs finished, to be recorded by the end of the year, with Mitchell Froom (Elvis Costello, Crowded House, Fleetwood Mac, Bonnie Raitt). Froom has been behind the boards for all of her albums since By 7:30 in 1999.
