Jaran Sorenson is an independent musician originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota. Jaran began playing violin at the age of three, and moved onto piano ant the age of five, drums at age nine, and guitar and bass in his early teens.
Jaran Sorenson is the drummer for the multi-platinum country artist, BlackHawk, as well as the 70’s Southern Rock band, The Outlaws. Based in Nashville, he spends his time off-tour working as an independent session musician, producer, composer, and engineer.
At the time, drummer Jaran Sorenson joined the band. Yoho returned in 2019 and Sorenson also continued in the band. Outlaws have two drummers again, until Yoho retired in 2021, since which Henry Paul is the only original member.

Nashville ace Jaran Sorenson has been out on the road with The Outlaws & Blackhawk since this Summer, and it was great to hear he is using his 1.5 Steel--4 x 15 as a main. I met Jaran at a Blackhawk show this Summer here in Wisconsin, and had an absolute blast with him talking drums & music.
