"The Show Must Go On" (working titles "Who's Sorry Now", "(It's) Never Too Late") is a song by the English rock band Pink Floyd, from their 1979 album The Wall. It was written by Roger Waters and sung by David Gilmour.
The Wall is a rock opera that explores abandonment and isolation, symbolized by a wall. The songs create a storyline of events in the life of Pink, a character based on Waters and Pink Floyd's former frontman Syd Barrett .
He also contributed vocals to several songs on Pink Floyd's album The Wall, most notably in the song "The Show Must Go On", which Roger Waters specifically wrote for Beach Boys-style vocal harmonies. In 2021, a reconstituted line-up of California Music was formed by Johnston with members of the Beach Boys and their family.
