Henry Edward Cubitt, 4th Baron Ashcombe (31 March 1924 – 4 December 2013), was a British peer. He was the son of Roland Cubitt, 3rd Baron Ashcombe, and Sonia Rosemary Keppel, and the uncle and godfather of Queen Camilla . Education and career. Educated at Eton College, he served in the Royal Air Force during the Second World War. [1] .

The 3rd Baron's sister, Rosalind (1921-94), married Maj Bruce Shand, MC, and their daughter, Camilla married the heir to the throne in 2005.

Elizabeth, Lady Ashcombe married Henry Cubitt, 4th Baron Ashcombe and uncle of Queen Camilla in 1979. They decided to keep Sudeley open to the public as a historic attraction and set about a major restoration of the castle. Lord Ashcombe passed away in 2013.
