Paola "Paoletta" Magoni (married name Sforza, born 14 September 1964) is an Italian former alpine skier. [1] Career. At the 1984 Winter Olympics in Sarajevo, she won the slalom event in front of Perrine Pelen and Ursula Konzett. [2] . She also won a bronze medal in slalom at the Alpine World Ski Championships 1985 in Bormio. [3] [4]

The 19-year-old captured the gold medal in the women’s slalom, the final skiing event of the competition, making her the first Italian woman ever to win Olympic gold in Alpine skiing.
