Lutz Heßlich (Ortrand, 17 de enero de 1959) es un deportista de la RDA que compitió en ciclismo en la modalidad de pista, especialista en la prueba de velocidad individual. Lutz Heßlich (born 17 January 1959) is a former racing cyclist from East Germany. He competed for East Germany in the 1980 Summer Olympics held in Moscow, Soviet Union in the individual sprint event where he finished in first place.
Lutz Heßlich won two Olympic gold medals in the sprint event in 1980 and 1988, and four amateur world titles. He also competed in the Los Angeles Olympics, which East Germany boycotted, and founded a bicycle shop after re-unification.
