Édouard Étienne Alphonse de Rothschild (French pronunciation: [edwaʁ etjɛn alfɔ̃s də ʁɔtʃild]; born 27 December 1957) is a businessman and part of the French branch of the Rothschild family.

Edouard Alphonse James de Rothschild was born in Paris on 24 February 1868, the third child and only son of Alphonse and Leonora de Rothschild. Surviving a youthful duel, which he fought to combat anti- Semitic insults, Edouard and his younger cousin, Robert, directed the affairs of the Paris House.
Édouard de Rothschild was a member of the French banking dynasty, one of the world’s wealthiest families. He was the third child and the only son of Alphonse, who became the co-owner of the family stud farm at Ferrières which was established in 1835.
