Wendell Niles (1904-1994) was an actor who appeared in The Hitch-Hiker, The Kid Comes Back and A Tragedy at Midnight. He was also an announcer for radio and TV shows, and the father of Wendell E. Niles Jr. and Denny Niles.
Wendell Niles was one of the great announcers of the golden age of radio. He was an announcer on such shows as The Bob Hope Show, The Burns & Allen Show, The Milton Berle Show and The Chase & Sanborn Show. He got his start touring in the 1920s with his own orchestra, playing with the Dorsey Brothers and Bix Beiderbecke.
