Andre Louis Hicks (July 5, 1970 – November 1, 2004), known by his stage name Mac Dre, was an American rapper from Vallejo, California. He was an instrumental figure in the emergence of hyphy, a cultural movement in the Bay Area hip hop scene that emerged in the early 2000s.

Mac Dre was one of the most popular and influential Bay Area rappers of all time with his versatile style. He epitomized the Bay’s “Hyphy movement” and helped popularize its “thizz.
This is the discography of American rapper, Mac Dre. In the late 1980s, he released three albums with what TIME Magazine called "the raunchiness typical of West Coast rap". [1] In the 1990s, he received a five-year sentence but managed to record two albums over the phone. [1]
