After a brief stint in a grand-scale production of Hair in Tokyo in 1969, Miyashita led a fledgling band of street musicians through a series of rigorous rehearsals that turned into Far Out, a prog rock outfit as muscular as Meddle- era Pink Floyd (Miyashita wrote and sang the group’s epic songs).

宮下 富実夫 （みやした ふみお、 1949年 1月6日 - 2003年 2月6日 ）は、 長野県 長野市 出身の音楽家・ ミュージックセラピスト ・ シンセサイザー奏者 。 改名前は 宮下文夫 。 略歴. [1] 1965年頃より音楽家としての活動を開始。 全世界同時公演 ミュージカル 「 ヘアー 」に出演した後、 プログレッシブ・ロック ・グループ「 ファー・イースト・ファミリー・バンド 」を結成。 喜多郎 (当時は高橋正則)も在籍していた。 欧米ツアー、 アルバム の世界発売など積極的に活動する。 1977年アメリカへ移住し、アメリカツアーを開始。 そのツアー中に、自身の腰の 鍼治療 から 東洋医学 に出会う。
