Michael Rose (born 11 July 1957) is a Jamaican reggae singer. He is most widely known for a successful tenure as the lead singer for Black Uhuru from 1977 to 1984, followed by a lengthy solo career.

Michael Rose (born 11 July 1957), is a Grammy award winning reggae singer from Jamaica. Possessing a wide-ranged voice, initially modeled on Dennis Brown 's style, Rose would regularly meet up in Kingston in the '70s with singers, musicians, writers and producers such as Winston 'Niney' Holness with whom he cut his first successful songs.

Michael Rose comenzó su carrera discográfica como solista -luego de haber tocado junto a sus hermanos dentro del circuito local de hoteles- hacia 1972, grabando junto a productores como Yabby U y Niney the Observer. Se unió a Black Uhuru en 1974, luego de la salida de Don Carlos y Garth Dennis.
