Hidetsugu Yagi (八木 秀次, Yagi Hidetsugu?) (28 de enero de 1886-19 de enero de 1976) fue un ingeniero eléctrico japonés. Inventó la Antena Yagi que hoy día lleva su nombre y que es usada mundialmente.
Hidetsugu Yagi (八木 秀次, Yagi Hidetsugu, January 28, 1886 – January 19, 1976) was a Japanese electrical engineer from Osaka, Japan. When working at Tohoku Imperial University, he wrote several articles that introduced a new antenna designed by his assistant Shintaro Uda to the English-speaking world.

Fue su compañero de trabajo, el también profesor, Hidetsugu Yagi (Japón 1886-1976) quién se le dio por traducir esos escritos de Uda al inglés, viajó al extranjero explicando el invento, y fue el que finalmente se recordaría más, aunque él mismo recalcara que el invento era de su colega Uda.

The two inventors were, Hidetsugu Yagi (1886-1976) and Shintaro Uda (1896-1976) both professors at the Tohoku University Japan.
