Zofia Romer née Dembowska (February 16, 1885 – August 23, 1972) was a Polish painter. She was born in 1885 in Dorpat (now Tartu, Estonia) to well-known physician Tadeusz Dembowski and his wife Matylda. She grew up in Lithuania and Poland studying under various painters.

2 de may. de 2017 · Zofia Romer in her journey to freedom traveled through Teheran, Cairo… to London. Many of her paintings depicted those places, as in Going for Election, dated 1941. It frames, like in the close view of a camera, two workers with a red banner proudly heading for an election.
