1 de jun. de 2021 · The second biggest court of the Roland-Garros stadium will have a retractable roof by 2024, inspired by the pleated skirt of tennis legend Suzanne Lenglen. The roof will be light, modern and respectful of the heritage and the environment of the venue.
Après le court Philippe-Chatrier, c’est désormais au court Suzanne-Lenglen d’être doté d’un toit rétractable. Ce projet, lancé en juillet 2021, qui a été mené par l’architecte et urbaniste français Dominique Perrault, s’intègre harmonieusement à l’environnement du stade.

For the first time in its history, Court Suzanne-Lenglen - equipped with a new retractable roof - hosted qualifying matches during the opening week of Roland-Garros. It was an undeniable success for tournament director Amélie Mauresmo and for the many fans (75,000 over five days) who were treated to some superb matches.

Built in 1994 and originally designated "Court A", Court Suzanne Lenglen is the secondary stadium with a capacity of 10,068 spectators. Its namesake, an international celebrity and the first true star of women's tennis, won 31 major tournaments, including six French Open titles and six Wimbledon championships, between 1914 and 1926.
