Japanese physician and humanitarian. Born in Fukuoka, Japan, on Sept 15, 1946, he died after being shot in Jalalabad, Afghanistan, on Dec 4, 2019, aged 73 years. Tetsu Nakamura wanted to do as much good as possible. Trained in neurology in Japan, he left that career to do humanitarian work in northern Pakistan.
