Jan Niklas Patrik Sjöberg (Swedish pronunciation: [ˈpɑ̌ːtrɪk ˈɧø̂ːbærj]; born 5 January 1965) is a Swedish former high jumper. He broke the world record with 2.42 m ( 7 ft 11 + 1 ⁄ 4 in) in Stockholm on 30 June 1987.

Later on in the summer of 1987, Patrik Sjöberg won the Gold Medal at the World Championships in Rome. He went on to win two Silver Medals in the 1984 and 1992 Olympics, as well as a Bronze Medal in 1988.
The IAAF decided that world indoor records would be ratified from 1 January 1987 and the first athlete to set an official world indoor record in a field event was Swedish high jumper Patrik Sjoberg.
