Yesugei's wife was Oyelun (Oelun, Hoelun, Hoelun), a daughter of the Olkunut forest tribe. Oyelun was abducted by Yesugei and his brothers from her newlywed husband of the Merkit tribe as they were traveling back to the Merkit camp.
