Using the vocabulary in the test question, the correct sentence is "The most happy marriage would be the union of a deaf man to a blind woman." It has to be "the union" because it is " The most happy marriage". It's taken from the writings of Samuel Taylor Coleridge.

However, I think you would be foolish to argue that this is the only possible punctuation, given that Mother's Day has its apostrophe before the "s" and Veterans Day doesn't have an apostrophe at all. Using the adverb says that the children should be happy when they are growing up. Using the adverb, you are saying that the process of growing up should be done in a happy way.
