Jan Błachowicz podczas gali KSW 16 (maj 2011) W zawodowym MMA zadebiutował w lutym 2007 roku.Niecałe siedem miesięcy później wygrał turniej KSW Eliminacje we Wrocławiu, dzięki czemu związał się z KSW, największą polską organizacją mieszanych sztuk walki.. W maju 2008 roku na gali KSW 9 wygrał 8-osobowy turniej, pokonując m.in. Antoniego Chmielewskiego.
