High on Fire is an American heavy metal band from Oakland, California, that was formed in 1998. Matt Pike, the band's frontman and founder, also plays guitar for Sleep. High on Fire won the 2019 Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance with their song "Electric Messiah".

High on Fire. High on Fire was formed by guitarist Matt Pike in late Summer 1998, six months after the breakup of Sleep. The song "Devilution" appeared in the 2005 video game Tony Hawk's American Wasteland. In 2019 High On Fire were awarded the Best Metal Performance Grammy for Electric Messiah.
