The band Lydia, releases in 2008 their second album entitled Illuminate. Lydia is an indie rock band from Gilbert, Arizona, formed in 2003. They really got their start as Nextabest playing at MooseFest 2000 in Gilbert, AZ. Lydia was signed to the Arizona based record label HourZero, through which they released their debut album This December; It's One More and I'm Free.
This is where I sit with Lydia’s sophomore full-length, Illuminate. In fact, I’ve been sitting with this album for weeks, flinging around words like cheap hooker shots. This is my third take (or fourth, if you count that time I attempted to write from an “altered” state) at giving Illuminate a shakedown.

The first flaw Lydia had to correct is the flow of the album, and they do a tremendous job of that on “Illuminate”. The track-to-track flow on this album is absolutely amazing.
