Pihos played his entire NFL career with the Eagles and was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1970. Wide receiver Pete Pihos played 9 seasons for the Eagles. Pihos had 373 catches for 5,619 yards and scored 63 touchdowns. He was selected to play in 6 Pro Bowls and was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1970.
Pihos would also help lead the Eagles to back-to-back NFL Championships in 1948-49. A member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, the College Football Hall of Fame and the Indiana Hall of Fame, Pihos was inducted posthumously into the Florida Sports Hall of Fame on Nov. 7, 2018. Pete passed away in Winston Salem, NC on Aug. 16, 2011.
