Inspired by fellow Seattle scenesters the Gits, Selene Vigil (vocals), Stefanie Sargent (guitar), Valerie Agnew (drums), Elizabeth Davis (bass), and Lisa Faye Beatty (guitar) came together as 7 Year Bitch. The all-female outfit developed a local following, and in 1992, C/Z Records released their debut, SICK ’EM.
