Over the past 10 years, Class of 2017 showed the sharpest decline, with an 8% decline in acceptances.
For the Class of 2023, 23,650 students applied to Dartmouth College of which 1,876 students were accepted, yielding an overall acceptance rate of 7.9%. Overall applications increased by 7.3% over last year (2022 to 2023) from 22,033 to 23,650. For the Class of 2023, 574 students were admitted through the early admissions process.

The university announced that it received a total of 31,657 applications this year, about a 10% increase from last year’s 28,841 applications. This includes an increase in both Early and Regular Decision applications.
