4 de dic. de 2002 · Franz Brentano was born on January 16, 1838 in Marienberg am Rhein, Germany, a descendent of a strongly religious German-Italian family of intellectuals (his uncle Clemens Brentano and his aunt Bettina von Arnim were among the most important writers of German Romanticism and his brother Lujo Brentano became a leading expert in social economics).
Lujo Brentano was born on December 18th, 1844 in Aschaffenburg, Bavaria, into one of the most important German-Catholic intellectual families, originally of Italian descent. During his career Brentano became one of the most distinguished, most influential. and sociopolitically most committed economists and social reformer of his time.
Lujo Brentano, bedeutender Sozialreformer und Wirtschaftswissenschaftler, skizziert im vorliegenden Band v. a. die wirtschaftlichen Ursachen, die Europa letztlich in den Ersten Weltkrieg führten.
