With his former band, he released five studio albums, including The Icicle Works (1984), The Small Price of a Bicycle (1985), If You Want to Defeat Your Enemy Sing His Song (1987), Blind (1988) and Permanent Damage (1990).

21 de may. de 2021 · McNabb (63) has made twenty-three studio albums since 1984. He has worked with Peter Buck, Jason Falkner, Crazy Horse, Ringo Starr, Waterboys, Lightning Seeds and Danny Thompson amongst others. Ian lives in Liverpool and performs solo or with a band as and when he can.
Utopian is Ian McNabb’s 20th studio album, and his first since 2019’s Our Future In Space. The man is certainly prolific and extremely talented. McNabb has produced some incredible music over the past 30 years since The Icicle Works called it a day as a recording unit. Utopian is a double album full of melodic, rocking, and unusual rock songs.

Hopefully I'll get this finished over Xmas/New Year. Early days, VERY rough mixes but I thought it would be fun to share a couple of tunes with y'all. Recorded at my home studio Nabby Road.
