Glosa is an international auxiliary language ( auxlang ), that was developed by Lancelot Hogben (as Interglossa, GB, 1943), Ronald Clark and Wendy Ashby (GB, 1972-1992). An auxlang is an artificial language that should help the communication between speakers of different native languages and so be a supplement to the national languages.
If you want to learn a romance inspired auxlang, I recommend Interlingue (Occidental) or Lingua Franca Nova (LFN/Elefen). I do not like Interlingua, because I find it harder to understand than Interlingue or Lingua Franca Nova ( proof ) AND harder to learn than Interlingue (thanks to word formation and De Wahl's rule) or Lingua Franca Nova (thanks to creole-like grammar).

Its vocabulary is taken following these two rules: 10 most spoken languages (L1+L2) in the World: English, Chinese, Spanish, French, Russian, Hindi, Bengali, Indonesian-Malayan, Portuguese and Arabic.
