I really enjoyed and was completely absorbed by your thorough (and intelligent and entertaining) look at "The Farmer Takes a Wife" - from it's very beginnings (and before), through its life on film. I believe I've seen the 1935 movie - but not for a long, long time. Now I'm really curious to see it again.
