"New College has been the home away from home for more than 2000 residents from local, Mainland China, and worldwide. Sustainability is the College’s central ethos. While facilitating the holistic development of our residents, our goal is to develop future responsible leaders with awareness and actions appreciating environmental, social and economic sustainability.
New College was founded in 1960 as a private college, joined University of South Florida in 1975, then achieved independence as a public university in 2001. New College has remained loyal to its mission and values over the years while adapting to the changing needs of generations of students.
New College is a place of study all year round. Please therefore do not enter staircases, college rooms, or areas marked as private. The Cloisters, Hall, Chapel and Gardens are fully accessible (access to the hall is via a lift) but please be aware that our grounds have uneven surfaces.
